What this site collects

This is my personal portfolio. I collect information to understand how people use the site, improve the experience, and respond to messages. Here’s what is collected and how it’s used.

Visits

I use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to learn which pages and case study chapters get read and how people find the site.

Links from job applications

A link I share in a job application carries a short label, usually the company’s name. It tells me which application led to a visit. The label stays in your browser tab until you close it and is saved with the visit. It says nothing about who you are.

The portfolio assistant

The orb answers questions about my work.

Contact form

The name, email, company and message you send come to my inbox so I can reply. Netlify, which hosts this site, stores them. I use them only to answer you.

Services behind the site

Netlify hosts the site, Umami stores the analytics and Anthropic answers the assistant’s questions. Fonts and scripts load from Google Fonts and jsDelivr. As with any website, these services receive your IP address in order to send you the page. Most of these services are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there or in other countries outside Canada.

Your information

If you’d like to ask about information you’ve shared, request a correction or deletion, or have a privacy concern, please contact me through the contact page. Analytics aren’t linked directly to a name or email, so I may not be able to identify an individual visit.
